- I am a first-time listener. How do I tune in?
To listen to any of Batanga's stations, you need to have an Internet connection (at least 28.8k), speakers (plugged in and turned on!), and a player (RealPlayer 8 and/or Windows Media Player 7). For help with selected and installing a player, click here.
To start listening, choose your preferred player in the left navigation bar (or we'll select one randomly) and just click on the name of the station you want to hear. A playlist window will open, and your player will launch. The music will begin in a few seconds. If you have problems listening to the music, keep reading, or write to tech@batanga.com.
- Can I download music from Batanga?
No. We are licensed to play music for listening purposes only, not for distribution.
- I like the song that's playing! Who is the artist and how can I buy the CD?
Artist, album, and song information will appear in the playlist window as each song plays. You will also be able to see the last few songs that have played on the station you’re listening to. You can keep the playlist window open while you’re browsing.
You can purchase the music that’s playing by clicking on the cd cover or the "buy it" link under the cd cover. To purchase music that has already played, just click the shopping cart icon to the right of the song listing. You will be directed to Amazon.com. For more help with the playlist, click here.
- Can I get song lyrics from Batanga?
Batanga does not have a song lyric database. We recommend searching at www.yahoo.com.mx By searching for an artist, group or song title, you will find several links that will help you find not only the lyrics that you're looking for, but also official Web sites, information about CDs and fan clubs, pictures and much more.
- Does Batanga sell CDs or MP3s?
No. However, we do have an agreement with CDNow, and if you click on a buy link on Batanga's site you will be transferred to www.Amazon.com. If you cannot find what you are looking for at Amazon.com, or if there is no buy link for the music you want, we can recommend several other places online where you can find a great variety of music:
- Does Batanga sell compilations of their Top 20 lists?
Currently Batanga does not sell music directly. Please check the record stores listed above for your favorite artists.
- Does Batanga play music in English?
Yes, some English-language music (by Latin artists) can be found on the Top Hits Station.
- Can I delete a song that I don't like? What are those faces on the playlist?
We ask our listeners to vote for the songs that they like as well as the songs that they dislike. You can vote for songs on the playlist by clicking the J if you like a song and by clicking the L if you do not. Listener votes are used to determine how often songs are played. So although you cannot delete a song, you can change how often it is played by voting.
- I have a band! Can I send you my CD?
We gladly accept music submissions from labels and independent artists. Any promotional material should be sent to:
