Manny Manuel to sing Boleros. Renowned merenguero Manny Manuel is abandoning the hip-shaking sounds of merengue (at least for a while) to focus on a much more traditional sound, boleros. Lupillo Rivera’s Live Album. On November 11 Mexican idol Lupillo Rivera released “Live”, an album recorded on August 23 in the Anfiteatro Universal in Los Angeles. “Live” features 14 songs, including rancheras, norteña and banda. The first single, “Dame por muerto,” was composed by his father, Pedro Rivera Los Razos change their look. Norteño quintet Los Razos take off their Tejano boots and put on a rapero look for their most recent release El Enhierbado. Los Razos have added rap tunes to their classic repertoire in order to reach young listeners.
Jose Feliciano and Albita to take part in Christmas Festival The legendary singer and guitarist Jose Feliciano (best known to U.S. audiences for his perennial season favorite “Feliz Navidad) and Albita, the rootsy singer from Havana's La Víbora barrio, will participate in the 6th Annual Christmas Festival on 8th Street in Los Angeles, hosted by the non-profit organization Edgar N. Palacios Children Foundation. The event will take place on Saturday and Sunday, December 13th and 14th, 2003. Albita will be the Festival’s Queen. Club LTV - The Spanglish Experience.
