M.R.P.
King of Flow is dancehall riddims slightly reminiscent of reggaeton with a Spanish-language “Sean Paul” sound-a-like. M.R.P. brings the islands to you for a desperately needed vacation from an exhausted reggaeton genre. Mister P.’s blend has a cool breeze vibe that stirs up feelings of jam-rock revelry when trace amounts of steel drum are thrown into the fold. The track list is kept short, 12 deep, evident of extra effort in the production process. The result is a smooth hybrid banger of a record. “Hola Madam” and “Kin Kan” are the first two exemplary tracks that jumpstart the experience. (NM) |
