Reggaeton Niños/Reggaeton Niños
February 3, 2006
You can’t help but laugh with appreciation at this innocent take on today’s world-dominating reggaeton hits. Would you permit your young kids to listen to this set of songs whose original lyrics were intended for the debauchery of the reggaeton club scene? I would screen it before allowing them to pop it in their Sponge Bob disc player but then again, if they’ve already heard the originals, censorship would be futile. After being touted as the first kids’ reggaeton record, it’s a bit of a disappointment that sounds like a rushed attempt at what could’ve been an awesome album. But there’s more to come: the producers are currently searching daycares across country for more Reggaeton Niños — and they’ve included instrumentals on Volume 1 for your talented tikes to bust PG rhymes over.
