by Maricarmen Blackwell Leaving the Caribbean flavor behind, and with a new bad boy look and a touch of rock, he presents us with “El Problema” and “Santo Pecado”. We’re going to hear those two songs everywhere; they have excellent acoustic and electric guitars, classic violins, and smooth choruses that form an Alternative Rock and Pop symphony. Arjona fans are used to his truly tangled and rebellious lyrics. With “Quesos, Cosas, Casas” and “Señor Juez” he shares his social and political visions, which become cuento y burlería with the airy semi-classical music. We feel the romantic and the bohemian in “Minutos”, “Vivir Sin Ti”, “Se Fue” and “Amarte a Ti”, modern ballads for those searching to console broken hearts. Finally, “La Nena” tells of the cruel but daily reality of many countries. Excellent material.
